The Villa Wien is a recently opened section of the Hotel Art, which is located only 50 meters from the main hotel building, and is very close to the 500 year old Gazi Husrev-beg mosque and the Sahat kula, the two most famous symbols of Sarajevo. It is built in the architectural style of Austro-Hungary, yet it is only a few meters away from the Bezistan, the old oriental bazaar. Thus the Villa Wien and its surroundings are a perfect example of the eclectic nature of Sarajevo.

There exists no other city like Sarajevo; it is a city in which East and West meet, both a European and an Oriental city, and Hotel Art is located in the heart of Sarajevo. In a hundred meter radius one can find a mosque, a cathedral, an Orthodox church, and a Jewish synagogue, which is why Sarajevo has been termed the European Jerusalem.

Hotel Art probably has the best location of all Sarajevo hotels; located in the center of the old town: a modern building surrounded by buildings from the time of the Ottoman Empire on one hand, and the Austro-Hungarian on the other.
